Time and again, we've earned the approval of our customers, as well as our peers, in garnering several People's Choice Awards and New Mexican Restaurant Association distinctions. Perhaps most remarkable has been the success of our Winrock Chile Packing Company concept, which has earned the prestige of being the highest volume Mexican restaurant in the entire country, exceeding all of our expectations.
Yet our current success dates back to our humble beginnings, in a modest, family-run, local restaurant in 1969. We understood that it was essential to deliver a compelling product, a quality experience, and "exceed guest expectations" in every way. If we could control our quality, we could, in turn, control our destiny. In fact, our corporate mission statement clearly projects our focus in this regard...

We have established many award-winning recipes using a simple culinary philosophy - we share a great love for nature. Native ingredients are prepared fresh and flavorful at all our locations. The natural flavors given to corn, chile, beans, rice, and vegetables by the sun and the earth are the cornerstone of our cuisine. We do little to alter these flavors in our cooking process, and take great pride in each of our culinary masterpieces. The legacy of tortillas, chile, and margaritas started 30 years ago and emphasizes fresh and unique Mexican cuisine warmed in the atmosphere of Mexico.

The primary responsibility of our people is the well-being of our guests. Our guests are the central focus of everything we do. Given the vast array of choices these days, we cherish our guests who choose the Garduño's experience over all the rest. Creating a quality experience for our guests goes beyond our award-winning cuisine and margaritas, to include the culture, the environment, and the performance of our employees.
We offer a high level of consistency in our concept and delivery, though no two of our locations are alike. Each of our locations offers a distinct theme, from the charming adobe Fourth Street location, to the energetic, lively, and expansive Winrock Chile Packing Company with its border-town long bar and mountain-view patios.
Realizing that our employees are the main ingredient to a quality experience, we have developed programs to attract, develop, and retain good employees. We proudly offer competitive wages and great benefits packages to our employees, including 401(k) programs, medical/dental insurance, and paid vacations. We communicate our service goals and philosophies to our employees through the "traditions" training program, and further the development of our managers through corporate seminars and annual corporate retreats. In essence, we have the people and training method needed to produce the top level of consistency in quality and experience that has since come to be known as the "Garduño's Experience".
Support the Community
Having begun as a small, family-run operation in the heart of Albuquerque, we have always been keenly aware of the ability of our organization to make a difference. Wherever we established our presence as a local company, we felt a strong responsibility to support the local culture. Garduño's was the first to initiate many programs and expand into other areas of the community outside the restaurant industry.
- We have consistently donated millions of dollars in fund raising contributions, with the help of our partners, for worthy charities, such as the National Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Shelby Heart Fund, and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
- We established a recycling program that is currently shared with our community and others in the restaurant business.
- We, in conjunction with the NMRA, participate in scholarships to individuals pursuing an education in the hospitality and food service industry.
Wherever we established our presence as a local company, we felt a strong responsibility to support the local culture.
Partner for Success
We have been very successful in establishing alliances and partnerships with our suppliers, sponsors, local businesses, and entrepreneurs. Our relationships have played an integral role in further enhancing the "Garduño's Experience".
We now offer an array of private label products, including Garduño's Tequila, Triple Sec, Salsas, and Tortillas. Future plans include food products of various types.
Garduño's has also formed partnerships in order to expand into new locations, the most recent being Las Cruces, New Mexico and the Fiesta Casino-Hotel in Las Vegas, and the Palms Casino which has been voted best Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas.
In an effort to deliver unparalleled entertainment for our guests, and continue to exceed their expectations, we have been instrumental in the best Mariachis New Mexico has to offer.

Constant Innovation
As much as we have already manifested our ambitions and established our identity and philosophy, many challenges and opportunities are still in the offing. In order to keep pace with technology and new trends, we have developed a web site, complete with restaurant locations, recipes, and coming events. We have also instituted a full service catering department and a guest rewards program where the "more you eat, the more we treat". We continually look for strategic business partnerships, and work to develop the skill level and expertise of our valued employees. All for the express purpose of satisfying our guests, of all ages, at all times. Considering our pioneering history, there is no other company better prepared for the road ahead.
